UNION LEAGUE NATIONAL GOLF CLUB

Union League National Golf Club is a stunning 27-hole golf course constructed by Dana Fry and Jason Straka. Originally built by Fry and Michael Hurdzan in the early 1990s, the golf course has underwent an ambitious renovation in recent years. Jason Straka has cited renowned courses such as Pine Valley, Calusa Pines, and Tobacco Road as sources of inspiration. The bunkers were shaped by the talented team of Ernie Polverari and Luis Varela, whose previous projects include Mammoth Dunes in Wisconsin and Gamble Sands in Washington.

The three nines that make up Union League National are named after Civil War generals: Grant, Sherman, and Meade. National will challenge your game while providing views found no where else in South Jersey. This is a golf experience you will not soon forget.

FEATURED HOLES

MEADE #5

One of the most unique par 3s in golf is the 5th hole on Meade. Surrounded by dunes, there is a stadium-like feel to this hole. It plays around 160 yards from the back tees over water into a well-defended, sloping green. However, what sets this hole apart are the massive stones that tier each tee.

GRANT #5

The long par 5 is one of the best transformations on property and continues an incredible stretch of holes. A large landing area makes for a welcoming tee shot on this slight dogleg right. The fairway narrows into the green with trouble right calling for a precise second shot. Its green meanders out into the water and gives you a great look back at the massive waste area guarding the right side of this hole.

SHERMAN #8

The most photogenic hole on property is arguably the par 4 8th on Sherman. Its wildly sloping green sits just over 300 yards away from the back tees. A large fairway is interrupted by a pot bunker in the middle of the landing area. Water right will catch the most errant of tee shots while anything left may have a chance to stay in play. The greenside bunkers are nice to observe, but hopefully you don’t get to know them that well.
